The “Safe Town” is the innovative project on the police-community cooperation on the basis of partnership "Agriteam" (CPIF) operating in the town of Boryspil, Kyiv region.
The aim of the project is to reveal the disregard for the laws of Ukraine, primarily the disregard for the Article 178 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (prohibition of drinking alcoholic beverages in public places). Within the framework of the project, the town residents are informed about the legal consequences of drinking alcohol and smoking in public places, and the public formations are created to tackle the violation of the law.
The project also envisages conducting an opinion poll in the streets of the town to understand the attitude of the residents to drinking alcohol and smoking in public places. The poll results allow determining the community views about the level of influence of this phenomenon on the overall well-being of the town. The next poll is conducted three months after the beginning of the project, and the last one is conducted at its final stage.
